Pop off the diff cover and look for bad teeth and a bad bearing. It's a place to start. You say no slop in the front end, is that while it's sitting on the ground, lift it up to check, the weight of the Jeep will mask a bad u joint and only one new u joint, there are 2 at the back of the front shaft too..

your track bar might be loose....

check this out.. its what I am working on currently:
http://www.jeepin.com/features/trackbarfix/index.asp

A buddy charged me $45 to make the reinforcement place in the below pic.. PM me and I'll get you his info.. its well worth it.

If you or anyone else want one he would do it Im sure. Young guy 3 kids and a perfectionist who works on Ferraris and Lambos for a living.. If your considering supporting him.. you should! He's a great guy and the family could use the $. Plus you get your problem fixed right the first time!!!

This was the source of my death wobble

Good luck

could it be something hitting the crossmember or bottom of the jeep? like your exhaust, or 4x4 shifter linkage....?
