Yet another useless cherokee fact...
If anyone's ever seen the movie "The Mothman Prophecies" with Richard Gere (as I have last night), you will notice that one of the main characters is a policewoman and this is her vehicle of choice. (It's in the movie like 90% of the time)

Hey im new to the forum and came across this post and seen my rig in the pick and thought id let you guys know the specs of the xj,it started out as a forest ranger truck and the movie company purchased this one and another xj for the movie, they were completely built up by the studio to look exactly alike except the other one had its running gear removed for stunt scenes (like the dunk in the water at the end of the movie) it has a 4" lift on it ( looked like a smaller lift with the running boards on it) and it had 30" tires at the time, now has 31"BFG all terrains on it, the spot light is just a normal cruiser issue spot light, a buddy of mine purchased it from the studio here in PA. With almost everything intact and on the truck except for the brush gaurd and the red&blues, he ended up stripping all the stripes off and repainting the sides and got ahold of the brush gaurd from the other truck and alot of interior parts and such from it, he had to piece the dash back together because they had cameras mounted and it looked like they took a sawsall to it.he had it on the road for around 20,000 miles and that's when I purchased it and removed the running boards, the bigger tires and use it for every day driving, it has almost 180,000 miles on it now and still runs like a bear it has its normal cherokee problems like rust in the rockers but its been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I will try to get some pics of it and post em up.

How about the Sci Fi Series Eureka?
The sheriff has cherokees and they seem to get blown up or crushed just about every 2nd episode.
Seems to be a running gag on that series.
just makes ours more valuable I guess.
Ever tried to buy a 69 dodge charger lately?

In the opening of Goonies, The bad lady is haulin through town in what Chunk quotes as a "bad *** ORV." Old term for off road vehicle; therefore of course it's a stock cherokee.
