i got me a aftermarket radio soon after my current one bit the dust. all was going well, wires were in the right places and what not,but being the cocky person i am and not deciding to unhook the hot battery post, my ground wire and hot wire were both exposed on the radio part at the time and i managed to bump them together somehow which caused a slight spark and now i am getting absolutly no current thru the hot wire to the radio. ive tested the wire with a curent detector and it doesnt even give a single glow, ive replaced almost all the fuses in the fuse box,and i am still stumped. also ive got my complete dash interior stripped so getting to things in those hard places arent so hard anymore. my jeep is an 87,but i dont know if thatll help any of the problem. any ideas on how i could possibly fix this would be greatly appreciated

i went out just now and did some more observing..i took the radio fuse out and tested it with the curent detector, and its getting power just fine. so now this just makes me even more frustrated since i know absolutly nothing anout wiring. could my hot wire be fried? if so does it need to be replaced?
