Yet another cruise control question...
New to the site, and although I have searched the site, I haven't found anything that quite talks about my application. I have a '92 xj limited. The cruise control switch is located on the turn signal lever. I bought the jeep a short time ago and it hasn't ever functioned. I don't know if it even has a "cruise control" light, because I've never seen it. I am unable to locate a "cruise control" fuse, the manual i have on the jeep says to check the fuse, but doesn't offer the location. ANY help on this would be Greatly appreciated. By the way, nice site...

Ya know I have something that might help. I have a photo copy via pdf from the dealer of the 91 Cruise Control setup that might help and should be the same. PM me an email address and I will email it to you. I figure if the dealer doesn't mind giving it to me then I don't mind giving it to others.
Could be a fuse, vacuum issue, the cc motor that sits on the passengers side just behind the battery could be bad. Lots of things could cause the issue.

On my '92 its the blinker/wiper/cruise stalk that is broken inside. It's a common failure point on the cruise not working. I guess the wires in the stalk break due to twisting the wipers on and off over time.
I havent fixed it. I will maybe relocate the cruise set switch somewhere else. Who knows.

There is no light that says "cruise".
The fuse box is behind/under the dash, aganst the firewall. left of the steering column. Each position is labeled with its purpose and fuse amp rating.
There is also a fuse box under the hood, behind the battery, very near the center of the right fender area. It is rectangular with a cover.

I didn't make myself real clear, i know where the fuse boxes are, but there isn't one marked "cruise control"...the manual mentions it is a 15 amp fuse, so I specifically checked all the 15 amp fuses in the box just to cover all the bases...all are good.
