Trying to replace engine parts on a 99 Cherokee. I believe parts from the 98 are interchangeable. Can anyone confirm? Or 97, 96?

mostly the same. Intake manifold on a 99 is different but compatible. Some of the sensors may have different connectors. What parts are you trying to use specifically ? I'd stick with the 98 parts but it depends on what parts. The only real changes even on 00 and 01 are the heads and related parts, ignition and connectors.
