xj sunroof issue
2000 xj sport with sunroof. It rained really hard last night and it leaked. I believe the xj sunroofs were installed after the fact by a separate company. Do these sunroofs have the drainage system that other jeep models have? There is a rubber ring that surrounds the sunroof and covers the edge of the headliner. It looks like it is leaking at the one corner. If there is a drain, I would like to find it and clear it out. Is there a drain on these?

I have a feeling there will be limited responses, I for one didn't know there were xj's with sunroofs from factory..
I would just clean everything you can, dress the rubber seal, tighten down all hinges and hope for the best.... worse case scenario it will only leak when it rains really hard and the jeep isn't moving..
hasn't leaked when you're driving right??

I have a sunroof on mine (dealer installed) there's drainage tube ran to the door jamb on mine. Check there for a tube that has some rtv lookin stuff around it.
I'll get a pic if I remember when I leave. Its a 99 btw.

Correct! I believe that none of the sunroofs are factory installed they were dealer option and installed by the dealer. Also as DieselD mentioned there should be a drain tube. If you are lucky the only problem you are having it that it is plugged with crud. But the problem with the dealer sunroof is that they rarely don't leak.

A sunroof is nothing more than a controlled water leak. There should be four drain tubes, one down each A pillar and one down each rear pillar. Open the sunroof all the way and look in the corners for the drains, then run some mechanics wire down the drains to knock the crud loose.
