Hey guys, ive posted about this topic before and got one reply. I took his advice and cleaned the throttle body and IAC. She still seems to stall out sometimes when i'm off road when i let off the gas. I just pulled my buddy out of a ditch and after i let off the gas she stalled. Any idea why it does this?

 

check your fuel pressure at the fuel supply rail. Ideally, you could run a pressure gauge into the cab to see if pressure drops when it stalls. Not sure if that makes sense for you or not.

CEL light on? get the codes pulled. if your fuel pump sees low voltage, it will throw a code for ya. AutoZone will do it for free

 

the neutral safety switch is disconnected so it throws a CEL all the time. i could take it to my mechanic but since its just a toy its not a real necessity. plus it only does it sometimes off road so i was just looking if there was a simpler fix that i could do myself.

 

No idea! pull the CODES. CODES will tell you exactly whats going on.


For example, my CEL stays on as well. PO cut all my O2 sensors. 3 weeks ago, slammed it on a ledge and it won't start. I'd be weeks and hundreds of dollars throwing parts at it and reading crap off the internet. Instead, I bought a $40 scanner and scanned it last night. Came back with 7 trouble codes, including 2 Auto shut down relay codes. Just bought a relay for $8 bucks and am confident I'll get it fixed tonight.
