Hi all,
I 've what they call a bad luck , my 01 xj shaking every time I hit the gas ,when rpm goes higher and higher it shakes more rough . Although it's good in everything else
temperature goodNo leakage/ no burning oil /Shifting normal
good fuel consumption /No smoke at allNo check engine and I ve checked several times and all good This issue happens when it's running or in P or NI changed head gasket and engine Mount
spark plugs ig Coils, distributer capInjectors
If anyone knows what is this issue or what causes this , please advise me
Instead of firing the parts cannon...you should come here first....
Is it missing at idle? Do you have one or more cylinders not firing?.... also... start at the bottom up... check all of your grounds... don't look at them... take them off clean and check them.
then check to see if all of your injectors are working correctly... there's an order that others I'm sure will chime in with... I'm not stating a particular order since you 've already replaced some things... but just go over it.
If all of your injectors are working well.... check your fuel pressure at the rail.
Did you check ALL of your mounts? not just engine but trans too?.... when you go from P or N into gear does the vibration change?
There's also CPS, TPS... lots of things that can affect those things... Unless what you're experiencing leads you to something you've seen before.... start from the ground up and check EVERYTHING that can be related.
There are a lot of other things that can cause rough idle or running in general I can think of...but will let others chime in first... You might also check out tips from Cruiser54 he's a mod here..but has a wealth of knowledge on our old Jeeps... I think it's cruiser54.com

Thnx for ur reply,
i ve no misfire , trans Mount is new , exhaust system checked , replaced 3 types of injectors single hole,4 hole and 12 hole and all the same ,coolent fluid changed 3 times, throttle body + sensors cleaned and checked
I ll check the rest as u said
Other ppl said it could be inside engine block such crank shaft or cam shaft , whatever
do u think it may be a part in engine block that cause this issue ,?
And thanks again
how many miles are on this thing?.... I mean these use a chain, but if it's loose anything is possible.... Have you popped the VC off to see if anything is broken on top?
Fortunately these old 4.0's are just solid... and I've heard of a lot of things happen to them (usually from neglect) and the motor is still running... not well but still going with issues that would cause most engines to literally grenade and you'd be on the side of the road.
I've even heard of one of our 4.0s still getting the person home with a broken connecting rod... I kid you not.... Tell me what other internal combustion motor on the face of the planet could still run with a catastrophic failure like that?
'nuff said... that's one of the biggest reasons I love my old jeep. Sure she can be a pain in the butt sometimes, but to this day praise the Lord, has never left me stranded.

I'm sure it has high miles I replaced my old one coz it has a broken piston , this old **** still running with broken piston for 200 klm do u believe this !
this new one came from us or canada I don't
know and was running like perfect 3 months ago ,but now I have this shaking ,it like a sound system shake when u raise the vol ,
i see a lot of youtube vid , topics , done slot but still shaking
Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims
Confused. It has a broken piston and you ask why it's shaking? or was that another rig. Shaking on accelerating I would be checking the fuel pressure and fuel volume delivery. If you shut it off and press in the shrader valve and only a teaspoon spills out, low volume. You could do the standard check of running the pump and seeing how much it pumps in a given time, that can be found in the service manual I think.
Also check the pressure.
Problems Solved,,all after inspection by a good mechanic
1st problem ,there are 4 bolts not tighten hold engine and trans together , the mechanic tight 'em well and no more shaking ,
2nd problem I upgraded to 12 hole injectors but wirring for the first and second are switched ,he re arrange it and it comes hot as hell , yea I fell it , beast and fkin powerful
At the end I want to thank you for all ur support .
