XJ Seat swap
I've been offered a nice set of leather seats - front and back - out of a 99 XJ. Supposedly, they will fit 99 through 01.
But I thought...will they swap into my '94??
Anybody got any knowledge/experience with interiors that can help with this, I'd appreciate it.

The 97 and up XJ front seats will fit a 95 & 96 XJ. DC stiffened the frame with a cross member that the seats bolt to starting in 95. It remained the same until prod ended in 2001. You may be able to do a mod. Certainly someone must have done it. Perhaps a search? Rear seat fits all XJ's

if you at any level mechanically inclined, u can find a way to make them fit safely

If the bolt pattern is the same on the seat rails bolted to the seat you can remove the rails and swap them. I've seen people weld different floor mounts to the rail to make seats fit too. "Necessity is the mother of invention"
