Hello fellow Jeepers.
I drove my 2001 XJ around for about 20 minutes today with the AC on as it was hot outside (maybe 30 degrees C).
After I parked up and switched the AC off, the revs dropped dramatically to around 500rpm and the Jeep started to make out as if it was about to stall. I left it running for a bit to see if it would stall, but it didn't - it just idled really rough.
After a few minutes, I switched the ignition off.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Ash

Idle air control motor needs cleaned. The ac is linked to it so when your ac is on the idle goes up since the ac sucks some power from the engine. Its free and easy to do. Search it on here and it will tell you how.
