Hey all, thanks in advance for the help- I'm 100 miles away at the parents house for Christmas and have what I thought was steam, but now believe more of a smoke/ something burning smell coming from my 99 xj's 4.0l's radiator. Near he battery. Hoses are all good, I can't find a leak point. I haven't taken anything apart to take a look. What would cause a smoke near that point? Antifreeze is leaking, but the tanks not dry. Thanks all!

 

1:check wires. one might be grounding before it gets to the fuse
2: running hot?
3: belt tension?

 

Not running hot. Out of the way of the belt. I'll check the wires! Thanks!
