Default XJ not cranking bad clutch safety switch?

So killed the battery after a night of beers and listining to music in the Jeep, after I charged the battery and also tried jumping it the thing would not turn over with the switch. Had battery tested it was good so tried a remote starter and she fired right up, all wires and cables from starter to battery seem ok. Tracked down two starter releys they seem to be fine and all fuses are good. Soooo i think i have narrowed it down to either the ignition or the clutch saftey switch, XJ is a 1999 5 speed. Not sure how to test these any have any suggestions on how or what else could be causing this? This XJ is the wifes mine still runs.....gotta get it fixed shes pissed!!!

I do not think it is your ignition switch because it will run when you use a remote starter, which means you have power to the coil and the starter works, unless the solenoid is bad,You can check the switch by checking for voltage on both sides you should have voltage before the switch and voltage on the other side after you depress the clutch. Do you have a security system that could be holding it out?
If all fails give your wife your jeep.

you can bypass the switch i beleive do a search on bypassing the safety switch but be careful because it will start when its in gear which could be very bad that is not a permanent fix but a way to see if it is your problem
