Default Xj noisy when pulling a trailer

When I'm pulling my mowing trailer at slow speeds my Xj sounds like a rattle wagon. Is this because they are unibody? Hitch is tight and I've tried to duplicate the sounds by jumping and rocking the crap out of it when sitting still. Is anybody else's noisy when pulling a trailer ??

Nope, no rattles. Sure it isn't the trailer or hitch rattling?

My guess is u have either a 1 1/4" or 2" receiver type hitch. The ball mount that plugs into the hitch is likely your rattle and uni-body vehicles seem to amplify the rattle. Is your trailer loaded correctly? Too little tongue weight and a receiver type hitch will rattle like crazy. Anti-rattle devices, that take the slack out where the ball mount plugs in, help.

Its a 2" receiver. It doesn't matter if the trailer is loaded or not or even what kind of trailer it is.. I may try a anti rattle thing and see if that helps. But I can shake the crap out of it in all directions and no noise. Maybe its a driving only noise. Lol

That's probably the broken teeth in your differential making all that noise under load.

LOL definitely not the rear end. I believe its the height of my trailer. The deck is about the height of my knees.Pulled my bro-in-laws little trailer and it didn't make a sound. His is a normal factory built utility low to the ground...
