As far as lockers, ****, theres so many choices out there. There's cheaper "lunchbox" lockers which replace the spider gears; Aussie, Loc-Rite, Powertrax.
Or theirs full case lockers which replace the carrier with a beefier one, but there pretty damn expensive; ARB, Detroit, OX, and others.

its a limited slip and not a full locker.
nothing wrong with a lock right. my dads ****** has a dana 30 front on 35s with a lock right and its going strong for 15 years without a single break.
aussies are supposed to be good too but iv never ran one.
my neighbor does gears on the side, he just got a video of how to do it and taught himself. if your capeable of that then i dont see why you shouldnt do your own. it is a huge pita and even though i can do my own its almost worth the 150 per axle to take it and have someone do it for me.
456s are nice, if you dont drive on the highway very much id go with 488s.
i run 456s on 35s and a little lower would be nice when wheeling.

Check out what the black cherokee can do. He runs True-Trac front and back on his dalily driver and climbs over lots of obstacles.
