XJ Idle woes=(
So the other day I got caught somewhere i shouldnt be and had to make a quick escape. The trail was very bumpy and i had to go fast so while making it out, as soon as i got down to the main road it died. now it will start and idle for a few seconds then die. I can start it and give it gas but then when i let off, it dies. Im thinking its the TPS but dont have alot of extra money to throw into replacing good parts (college sucks)! Any tips, tricks, or know how would be greatly appreciated!

well i tested the tps and the map sensor, cleaned the throttle body and the IAC and it still does the same thing. im thinking that maybe a bad fuel pump could do this too??

I googled spit n sputter , says u can take a rubber mallet a tap on gas tank if pump is in there and may start pumping right . You might try googling it
