I have a 90' XJ. Three separate times now it has shut off when wet. The first was in the mud the first time I put her in 4WD. The second was in the snow recently when I was also in 4WD. The last was that same day, while in the neighborhood I ran over a good sized puddle.
Something underneath is getting wet but it seems only when in 4WD. I have driven plenty of times through the rain and snow in 2WD without the problem.
Any suggestions? Puddles are putting my XJ to shame!!!

Yup. Go to the writeups section and do Cruiser's Mostly Renix Tips. Particularly ground and connector refreshing. Seal the connectors with dielectric grease to keep the water out.
