Default XJ electrical Gurus--PDC connector?

Noticed this connector was loose today and had melted the plastic cover. I think it might be the culprit for the odd behavior of my XJ lately. What is the purpose of the connector in the center of the picture (that is the front side of the PDC). Does it supply the PDC with power?

Also while I have your attention, does anyone have any idea what the unused connector on the left side of the PDC is? Here is another picture.

Yup, that's the main power to the PDC. Just follow it back, it goes straight to the battery. Disconnect the battery before you start messing with it!. Best to get it fixed ASAP, else your alternator may destroy any electronics (radio, ECU, etc.)

Dunno about the other connector, mine ('96) doesn't have it.

Yep, I tightened it up and the electric gremlins seemed to go away....at least for now.

I am wondering if the unused connecter is the fog light wiring since mine doesn't have factory fog lights. Any seconds on that?

I've got cruise control and it works. So probably not that.

Anyone see this connector in your XJ where it is actually plugged up?
