Just joined today. Have had some sort of Jeep pretty much since around 1985. Presently have only three as I just sold two. But I have a distributor question. I need to replace the distributor in my 93XJ 4.0. Looking for a good water proof distributor. Not really worried about price as much as quality. Also I am getting ready to replace suspension everything from front to back. Going with a small lift. Don't need a lot of height. Looking at an Old Man Emu kit. I just mostly trail ride and everyday driver. Any other or better kits to look at?

I don't know of a marine application of that engine, so I doubt that a truly waterproof dizzie's available & I suspect that the choice of aftermarket one is fairly limited. However, given your intended use, I'm not sure you even need anything other than from a reputable manufacturer, so a good starting point might be an off-road shop that does vehicle prep. for overlanding.

OME springs have a good reputation, but their shox seem to have had a rather mixed reception, but it's a subjective - & emotive - issue.

I sealed distributor with a tube of silicone , seal the vent hole on the bottom then seal the cap with a bead of silicone and then glue the plug wires to the cap . doing all that I could run water hose on the distributor and it would not miss fire .
