XJ Diesel engine cuts out for a second while driving..?
Hi Guys,
Hoping someone can help me - i have searched for an answer in previous threads but cant seem to find my issue.
Car is a 99 Diesel 2.5 Cherokee and recently she's started just 'killing' the engine for a split second, then continues to run.
It happens on acceleration and if im really gentle with the throttle, it doesnt normally occur.
Normally 3+ minutes into the drive.
So im thinking something to do with the fuel - blockage or air??
Im a mechanical idiot so i gave it to a mate whos had a load of Jeeps - he changed the filters, good service, and put some of that 'cleaner' stuff in the tank.
This seemed to work for about 3 weeks and now the issue is back...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
thanks!
