Got another problem with my 98 xj. This one's been buggin me all winter as well. The blower moter works great, but only throw's heat through the defrost vent, no heat through console or down at the toes. Some internet reading suggested maybe the vacuum canister is busted or bad, but it's just fine, got cruise control and all that. Saw some suggestions to check for broken blend door, but I got the impression that would cause problems holding air temp, not air direction problems like defrost, console or floor. So if it's not a vacuum problem, and it's not a blend door problem, does the heater control act up very often in these xj's? I've had a wj for a long, but this is my first xj, (yep, my wife let me have one of each, how cool is that?). anyone ever been down this road?
