I don't know how it works but ya 36's stock gears 10MPH over all the time and only performance mod is E3 spark plugs. Every time I fill up its consistently 17MPGs did change the spedo gear now its off by -3MPH at 75MPH. Not complaining at all.

you dont need full widths with 33-35s, the ground clearance will suck and its way too overkill. leave the 30 in the front and get a 8.25- dana 44 ford 8.8 ect and youll be fine. if you do get tons you dont need to get shafts as the stock ones will be fine. have you even broken the d35 yet?

I agree if your not going over 35's then you get more bang for your buck as far as ground clearance with stock axles. d30 and 8.25

No I haven't broken anything yet. I'm not cool with an 8.8 cuz they're not the correct width right? And I'm already having to run spacers cuz of my wide tires and stock wheels

The Chrysler 8.25 never had ABS, if it is a 8.25 it has no ABS.

The beefier 8.25 is just as strong as a 8.8 and a d44 and if you get it out of a liberty has disk brakes. Just saying.

29 spline is as beefy as the Dana 44, not as beefy as the Explorer 8.8 though.

only issue with that is liberty's are coil sprung....great if you want to long arm the back (toying with the idea myself) but extra work...get the 97+ xj one

But if you keep the leafs what dose it take to torch off the arm mounts and coil buckets and weld on your old perches. An hour tops.

that's IF he has torches and a welder......still not worth skipping a blot in axle for also the xj rear is easier to find and cheaper

I've got all the stuff I'd need to do the swap. I don't have a 220 mig but I can get a friend to weld it up for me. Think I'm gonna hunt down an 8.25 or D44. Whichever I find 1st wins
