33's look good on that size lift. I got 4.5 front and 5 back if you wanna see what yours will be looking similar like. I have trimmed front fenders if you wheel a lot and you get a wheel with a bigger backspacing you'll want to trim anyways. Just my experience.

Ok so I will start off with I don't know crap about tire sizes. That being said. Right now I have mismatched tires. One says 30 9.5 15. The rest say 235 75 r15. I am assuming that the 30 should be the inches. When I measure it I get more like 27 and a half. And it doesn't really look low or any thing. WTF. should 30 fit on stock or what I assume to be stock. Sure looks it

The "Part-Time" light is to let you know that part-time 4x4 is engaged. On a jeep, this means that you should only be using this setting "part of the time". You should NOT use the 4x4 part-time position on dry/wet pavement, or anytime that the surface you are driving on is not what you would consider a "loose" surface (ie. snow, mud, sand, dirt trail, rocks). Using 4x4 part time on solid/grippy surfaces will lead to hopping/skipping/binding while turning because the wheels are locked together, and will lead to failure in one or more of the 4x4 components.

This is an excerpt from a previous post within this thread from Dukie564, I just didn't want to quote the entire (gargantuan) post...

I just tested my 4wd in an emtpy lot and found that it is making the EXACT sound mentioned- HOPPING/SKIPPING/BINDING.

<sigh> what needs changed NOW?

...the point of my post was so you did NOT try your 4x4 in a dry paved parking lot. You should only engage 4x4 in loose conditions. It's working correctly...

There is no HD sye kit for the np242 (the type where you replace the output shaft). Your only option is a hack & tap SYE (where you cut down the output, drill and tap a hole, and bolt up an adapter).

http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoSYEconversion.htm

Example of one kit that's available (there are a few)

I had done it a few nights ago and then today stumbled upon your post while trying to read up on the thread, being new to it. I see the same people responding to all of us noobs and KNOW that you don't want to answer the same questions over and over and OVER. When you described the noise, I recognized it- the noise that made me begin to calculate... cost of tie rods, ball joints, u-joints, hell even the transfer case, maybe even worse. Yes, been an XJ parts replacer for years on top of bad luck. Figured I had screwed my 4wd pretty bad. Horrible noise.

All Jeeps have lots of wires that lead no where. When they came from factory they were used for something lol but not anymore. Not saying this is one of those but could be

From where does this little white plug originate?
Not that I know, but might help someone else...
