Tighter!!! They stretch during the first dozen hours.

Gatorback needs to be less tighter.

The answer is possibly, but the 96+ output/tailhousing is much shorter than the earlier ones. Creating a need for a longer drive shaft.

Won't make any difference because I'm doing a hack n tap on it and the customer got the wrong kit which is for a 96+ cases.

Housing should be portable but the main shaft isn't. Probably ought to see what is specific to 96+ about the kit that was purchased

Because the older housings were two piece and didnt have a seal to prevent fluid from coming out. so the hack n. tap would need a seal to prevent this... the newer tailhousings already is sealed up so the kits dont need a seal

Earlier main shaft does not have a machined surface for the output seal

I think the depth of the spline cut is different between them, but I'm not sure and I can't find pics right now

'93 YJ 4.0L (open cooling system, like HO Cherokees)

Thought my cooling problems were entirely intermittent, but I've figured out it only creeps up (eventually burning coolant) if I'm at 2500+ RPM. If I bring it down below that number, it cools back down.

When we did the motor swap a couple thousand miles ago, we replaced the water pump, thermostat, and temp sending unit. The radiator and cap have about 10k miles on them and no damage. Coolant level is good.

I'm wondering if it could be an issue of the 23 year old A/C condenser (which covers the majority of the rad) being heavy damaged and not allowing enough airflow to keep up with higher RPMs.

My current plan is to burp the system for the sake of surety, and remove the condenser because an OBA conversion is in my future anyway. I'm hoping these steps will resolve the problem, but am I missing something?

Step 1; go to a wrangler forum, sell the YJ
Step 2; buy a Cherokee or a Comanche
Step 3; come back and revel in your new enlightenment

Enlightenment? You're starting to sound like the punk *******s who come in here telling me to leave after I answer their questions because I drive something different.

For those unaware, I started in an XJ. Rolled it. Bought an MJ and jumped it a few times. Now I have a YJ and a J10.

Back to the cooling system...
