He might be talking about the plastic one. That, or it was ordered as an option

On my Renix I lost roughly half a gallon iirc. Maybe a touch more. Cruiser can probably give you to the oz. of what you should loose.

What is the reason behind not being able to keep ABS when doing the swap to an 8.25 Chrysler axle? I would like to do the disc swap as well as strength upgrade but want to keep ABS. I've seen some somewhat solid work arounds with aftermarket ABS sensors to keep the ABS working right. I would be willing to pay more for parts if I could keep it.

There are no 8.25 shafts with ABS tone rings.

Hmm, this is the second part of that answer too. I was wondering.

Liberties came with 8.25s but seem to have a tone ring in their diff? WTF?

Bigger market for them since they wanted people to buy their vehicle based on safety etc etc

Found a guy who managed to do it. Sounds like he had a machine shop at his disposal.

"Parts used:
2000 8.25 29 spline axle
95 ZJ disc brakes
95 ZJ tone rings
machined adaptor for tone rings"

http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73521&page=2

Now to convince my friend's buddy's baller Audi custom shop to do this for me, ha....hahahahaaaaa

There were 4 bolts and I think two nuts that I removed on the passenger side and 3 bolts and 2 nuts on the driver. I am a chick so my version of wiggling it loose probably sucks but I can certainly try to pry it a little. Do these things get stuck on there sometimes?
