Are all Chrysler 8.25 rear axle housings the same. I understand the axles, are different in newer years. I'm just wanting to know if there is a difference in the housing itself for any year Cherokee.

The differential housings are all the same.

I need to mount my license plate on my tailgate, but the two "nuts" that the screws screw into were both damaged and came out. There are only two large holes left.
How can I mount the license plate?

Most parts stores sell a kit with plastic inserts and self tapper type screws.

Any pointers from the regulars on here on installing a 3" Rubber puck and 2" shackle budget boost?

Iv look at numerous threads and write ups, but would like to know any tips or tricks you may have done to speed up process.

Im also doing a puck lift on a ZJ the same day when my XJ is done. Any advice on that would be good if you may have some.

I have given those a try, should have mentioned that. They were too small.

When changing the gas tank shield on a 2000 grand cherokee loredo, does it involve removing the gas tank or exhaust

Does anyone know what bulb is used for the check engine light on a 1996 cherokee?
Mine is out apparently, and I need to replace it.

It's really straight forward, really wouldn't recommend a cheap lift like that.

The front is the same for xjs and zjs, I recommend disconnecting shocks, sway bar links, trackbar, steering.

Rear of zj, disconnected shocks and sway bar.

I've noticed my electric fan comes on a lot, even in cooler weather if I'm sitting in the drive thru or something along those lines for a few minutes. I also noticed I leak a little coolant. I replaced my leaky and sticking thermostat & housing a few months ago. I can't see any obvious leakage. I have 130k miles also. My gas mileage is also a awful at around 13mpg
