I've been using 4wheel drive a lot lately and today coming home from work I hit a hole and it threw my transfer case in neutral. Lever never moved but I had to out it back in 2wheel then back to 4 what would cause this? Not sure what transfer case but it has part time 4x4 no full time. 97 4.0 sport

What plug-n-play T-harness for trailer lights is the best to buy, don't want any junk.
I find a Hoppy brand at JeepinOutfitters for $30, one from e-Trailer for $35, and a Curt for $40
Or another brand?

I'm using a Hopkins brand one I got off of amazon. Super easy install and has lasted longer than the 2 I used before it.

My transmission shifts so much better when it's cold outside and the Jeep isn't "warmed up" yet.. most people usually see the opposite effect huh? Anybody ever experienced this? Not asking for a solution, because I have a few parts on their way that might affect it a bit.. just curious if anybody has experienced this. :P

I'm in the middle of swapping my interior lights to LEDs. I have done everything but the HVAC controls.
When I went to remove the HVAC control panel...the stuff on the back of it concerned me. I didn't want to just yank it out...is there anything I should know prior to taking it out?

Sorry, 1997. Talking about these connectors.

EDIT: Figured out that you don't need to disconnect the panel to change the lights. I'd still like to know the answer to this question for future reference though

I'm not quite sure how the cable for the blend door comes off, my '99 has an electric one there.
The vacuum harness in the middle is pretty easy to remove, just keep in mind that there is still a slight vacuum in there so it might be a pain to break loose. The little metal rings on the white posts you'll want to focus on first, they just slide off. Then wiggle the entire thig free.
The main electric connector has a giant tab on one side. When these were new you would've been able to just squeeze it and pull the connector out. 16 years later the plastic has hardened up so get some pliers or something to help you depress the tab.
They all started having issues. No fires or explosions. I may have just gotten some bad ones. So far so good on the Hopkins one.

Quick question: can the fan pulley mount 'nub' be trimmed down? As in, just take a saw while the pulley is tight and cut a 1/4" off the nub? Or is this some kind of ultra-grade 1000 hardened steel?
