Thanks for your reply. Yes I did remove the transmission mount nuts as per instruction. I now see that others mention a break in period of 500-2000mi before they lessen the vibrations. I will also try loosening the through bolts a hair. I will report back.

I have returned!
So jeep was working great yesterday and today after my plague of electrical issues, then it wouldn't start at 1pm it would click from the ignition coil but nothing else, I thought AHA! I know this one, so I replaced the coil, it worked great. Until 10 pm. Back to the single click. Is there something that could be killing my coils? Or should I be looking elsewhere?

The Brown dogs are made using a 'harder' rubber so naturally, they'll vibrate more but they'll last a lot longer also. I put thread locker on mine and torqued to about 15-20lbs. Been working great for a years or two. But i didn't have directions to follow either.

I don't see how a coil could cause an engine not to turn over with the starter.....

When it just clicks, what does the voltmeter show?

If improperly torqued, BD mounts vibrate horrendously. They give explicit warnings about it on the site along with very specific instructions.

Change your relays. So simple and relatively cheap but will make a huge difference.

I have a 2000 XJ and the heat isn't working. The blower works fine and the AC will work but no heat. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

The main thing the instructions note is too tighten the through bolt until the washers at both ends cannot be turned by hand, then back off the bolt until one or both washers spin. This would indicate a very low torque value for the through bolt. Since my through bolt doesn't have washers, I loosened both sides up and I'll see how it is today. Taking off from a dead stop with only one side replaced with the through bolt possibly a hair tighter than BD requires caused vibrations through the pedals, steering wheel, the entire dash rattled and it was very loud. Hoping it is better today, I do expect more vibrations than stock but hopefully not quite as bad as it was yesterday. Thank you both.

I only had time to get the driver side in yesterday. I was up late and managed to get the passenger side BD mount installed late last night. Both BD mounts are installed. Just came back from a cruise, the vibes are quite a bit better but still apparent. It is mostly taking off from a stop the jeep hums/rattles/shakes for a few seconds. I would imagine it will get better over time. Now I hear a rattle from the rear of the jeep when coming to a stop. At first it sounded like it was coming from the drums however the rattle is at a faster pace than what the brakes would make at a low speed as I come to a stop. Might strap the go pro under there and take it for another cruise. Thanks guys.

Relay does look pretty s****y. I'll try that.


Voltage on the dash says 14 but who knows how a accurate that is.

Yea i understand but i have no abnormal/horrendous vibes so I say its good. They were literally put on snug. I love 'em so...
