My XJ sometimes shakes when braking downhill.
Say I'm going down a long downhill at about 55mph, then near the bottom I have to slow to 40, then 30 due to changing speed limits.
I have to brake all the way down the hill to stay at 55, but then to slow to 40 then 30 I really have to start braking harder. When I do this the front end starts to shake, and gets worse the harder I brake. It feels like it's coming from the front-right wheel.
The pads and discs aren't that old (I don't think) - what could cause this??
