Yeah it is I remember the first time my gf rode with me I pulled the keys out and tossed them in her lap

And one day I started it with a spoon but don't tell anyone LOL

Haha. My keys pop out sometimes, havnt tried the spoon yet though.

It was last resort forgot to lock ignition started it up went to the store and when I shut it off I locked the ignition and had no keys

Any body ever dealt with a mexican jumping gas gauge, my gauge keeps bouncing around after fill up ? Drops past empty then back to full and sometimes the low fuel light will turn at half a tank is this the sending unit on its way out or a gauge problem
It wont happen all the time but its becoming more of a problem lately.

Best in the winter. Start up. Turn heat up. Take keys, lock doors.

I used this "feature" to warm up the DD the other day. Drove my GF to work and back with no keys in. Got home and couldn't shut it off. I was like wtf is wrong with my ignition? I then realized my keys were on my belt loop. Lol

Does anyone have a diagram for how the fuel pump, regulator, etc for a 99 xj is setup?

I'm sure it's been asked before but where is the pop in my steering coming from? Steering box? It's not any of the connections, I crawled update there and it sounds like its coming from something up there

There's a spacer between the gear box and the frame. It's known to crack and cause popping.

OR the frame rail is known to crack there and cause popping. Just make sure the gear box isn't moving around.

Not necessarily. There are a few codes for hard faults with them but if the numbers are just whacked then the PCM has no real way of telling. On OBD-I the rear O2 I don't believe is involved in setting fuel trim (unlike OBD-II). If your forward O2 sensor is original, go ahead and get an NTK replacement. They only last about 80k
