Here is how I deal with difficult hardware . I have several small wire brushes about the size of toothbrushes. Anyways , I brush the exposed threads whenever possible and then apply heat , always being careful of surrounding area or components , especially rubber and gas lines/tank . I usually just use a propane torch for this . Remember that the head of a bolt will sieze also . So , heat both sides if possible - the nut and/or the head . Now with everything hot , quench with couple quick shots of PB . The heat will help to loosen the rust but the oil in PB will act like solder and sweat into the threads . Have fun !
I like it in the dirt

imagine an offraoders gathering where everybody wore that perfume? bwahahahahaOriginally Posted by smtippin
You definitely made a good choice with the PB Blaster. Plus, when it is all said and done, you'll have one great smelling Jeep. I'd go nuts if they sold a PB Blaster perfume.s

I mean perfume, but I never said nor did I intend for it to be implied that it would be worn by fellas Originally Posted by evmo

Guess you didn't.
I doubt my woman would go for it.
She asked me what the hell that awful smell was after I came in from a round of soaking yesterday.
Well she's done...and it only took 3 hours longer than I anticipated, 8 hours total. Granted 2 of those hours was us driving around the Bay Area trying to track down a spring compressor that would actually work (Thank you AutoZone!)
She drives fine and the ride quality is very good, I am getting minor vibrations from 25-31 mph though. Looks like a SYE is in my future but for now I'm a bit to strapped for it.
How hard is it to lower the trannie a bit?
Well without further ado, the pics.

Now I just need some 31s to finish the look I want.
Edit: The Pblaster worked great! None of the bolts required excessive work to get off.

pb blaster requires some ventilation .. im still smellin it from 3 days ago .. cramped garage doin shocks .. got pretty high off it, brain felt like mush at work next day ... like i had been drinkin tequila all nite
not as bad when I changed my fuel pump though .. brain felt dizzy for days & days from the gas fumes pouring outta tank into my face
