XJ 2.5TD heat-core bypass?
Hello
i am intressted in buying myself a "new" Cherokee
it's an cherokee from 1996 with the 2.5td.
however, the heat core is leaking, and i got a long way to drive it home.
is it a way to bypass the heatcore? if so, can anyone explane witch houses to fix.
if anyone have a 2.5td, a photo shoing the houses whould be Awsome!

Take the heater hoses loose from the engine (while cold). Take them off the core at the firewall.
Loop one of the hoses so that both engine fittings are covered. Hose clamp and you're on your way.

so just remove the hoses from the firewall and create a loop?
is it possible to just connect the two hoses to each other?

You'll see what I'm talking about in the earlier post once your open the hood on the Jeep and look in there.
I hope you have the money to pay a good mechanic to work on it after you buy it. I guess everyone has to start somewhere, but I don't think a 19 year old TD is good for a novice that appears to be very confused after the simplest, plainest instruction.

Yeah, but you'll have to buy an adapter fitting. The hoses probably aren't the same diameter.
