Will a set of wrangler rears bolt up to an xj without any welding required? Found a set on craigslist with 4.10's for $150 so I figured I would ask.

TJ wrangler or YJ wrangler?
TJ front will bolt in, but is a low pinion differential. YJ front is leaf sprung, so it will not work. if it is a YJ front you could have the gears swapped into your housing. YJ nor TJ will fit an XJ. you could have the gears from either swapped into your housing, assuming you do not have an 8.25 or a d44.

yj rear shock mounts are different also. but at least it's leaf sprung. not sure on perch locations tho.
tj rears are no go, unless you want to convert your xj to coil, or weld on perches and shock mounts. worth it if it is a d44 from a sahara or rubi.
so, short answer is no, they won't just bolt in.
