Is there anyone here who works on older XJ's, in the Dallas area?
I live in Carrollton and would like to have mine worked on. I am too slow and not completley mechanical.
There are to many things that I don't know.
I am trying to restore mine.

I have an '88. One year, I failed smog. Took a bit to get it to pass, but I passed. They are a state certified smog test and repair station. When I asked them if they had or knew of someone who could work on these, he replied "You mean, beside you?"
What condition is it in now? What kind of things are you looking to do?
You might look at some local "off road" or 4-Wheel clubs.
Post some pics!

If you're looking to restore it, you need to either have deep pockets or learn some new skills (probably both). On the plus side, this is a great forum for getting help if you do.
