Default "woo, woo, woo"

when I first start moving from a stop I get this "woo, woo, woo" coming from the rear of my xj. It's a quick, high pitched sound that lasts about half a second. If I go real slow it will last longer but it only does it the first few feet. once I get going it goes away. I have a dana 35 with stock tires and rims and breaks. Im thinking its the wheel bearing or maybe something with the break drum. If this sounds like something you have fixed then I would like to know what I need to replace. thanks.

Whistle goes woo woo.

Probably some debris stuck on the brake or the brake silencer section is gone.

I thought it was the u joint but when I took it to the shop to have them do it while I was at work they said the u joints were fine. I tried to get the break drums off and they wouldnt move past the padds. the drums were so worn that a lip had formed on the edge of the drum and the padds adjusted out so that the drum wouldnt come off. Ive heard that there is an adjuster for that but the drum is so worn that it needs to be replaced and I didnt have the money at the time to do that. maybe its time for new rear breaks. Im thinking dana 44 and disk break conversion.
