wont start

i just did a motor swap i took a 91 long block and put it in my wifes 88 everything that i can find i plugged in and vacuums r right i think it started and ran about 1/4 of a mile then died finaly i it started again and wouldn't even make it back to the house now i can't even get it to start now it tries but never busts off any sugestion welcome cause i'm stumped

is the ground strap from the back of the head to the firewall ok?

How long vehicles sitting is there moisture in the tanks bad gas were are something to this. Also try to check ignition, timing ext. can u spry starter fluid in cab and it turn over. Also could be plugged filter are even pump. Hope this helps!

i was thinkin it might be the pump gettin weak and i just pulled the tank and poored all the old gas out and changed the filter before i tried to start it i do u no if my pump out of my 91 is the same as the 88. and i'm startin to think that i might not have hooked the ground strap up ooops i hope thats it but i don't tink thats it but couldn't hurt lol
