Also hit up YouTube and search Death Wobble.
The cause of DW is bad steering or suspension component. There is a great write up on DW in the write section.
Mine ended up stemming from a worn lower ball joint on the Drivers side. Good luck.

I have that exact same problem I got mine checked out and this is a picture of the estimate from mechanic so I went home and checked my ball joints and such and everything was fine so I figure it is my tires being worn down. Once I get my new tires and wheels on should be by Thursday I will let you know how the wobble is.
If your tires are not worn down and still have good tread on them I would lift up your front end and move wobble your front wheels around with your hands. If they do not wobble and seem tight then your ball joints should be good.
Try going to a mechanic and getting a free estimate then see if the parts he listed are fine or need replacing.

Unbolt the steering stabilizer & make sure it has pressure. I had a DW a while back but only once. Before wheeling about a month ago, I decided to replace my stabilizer and the old one was shot-no pressure. This would be a quick & inexpensive fix if that is your problem.
