Sound like u joints to me. My Jeep did the same thing after the first sharp turn leaving the used car lot. I took it back the next day and they replaced the drivers side u joint. They replaced the passenger side when they first got the Jeep so replace them in pairs.
jack it up and move your tire from a side to side motion and then an top to bottom motion.. if you feel any play then its gonna be ball joints or wheel bearings..to check your tie rods just grab them and push up and pill down.. if they move then those are badd..good Luck!! I just got done replacing all four ball joints, tie rods, both wheel bearings and both axle shaft u joints...Pain in the ***!!!
I'm pretty sure mine is caused by the drivers side u-joint. When I had it up, I turned the wheels to the right and the drivers side would not want to turn smoothly and the passenger side was ok. I got a new u-joint but couldn't get the hub off. Any tips?
