Default WJ ?mirrors on an XJ

Does anybody know if Grand Cherokee side view mirrors wil fit a Cherokee sport? The mirrors are from 98-04, my XJ is a 2000.

I just want better mirrors then the stock 95 1s. But i want to keep my doors... It is interesting.

I'm 90% sure mirrors from a newer (97+) XJ bolt straight on, and are larger in surface area than the older models.

Correct.

The WJ mirrors have a different mounting surface so they won't work without some good modification.
