I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee been working on electrical wiring still, can not get started - there is a very weak spark from coil, the wiring has had rat damage.
has any one wired up a external ignition system that will work that will by pass
the power management unit. fuel pump works and every thing seems work except ignition firing have tried everything I can thank of volt value on systems from cam position sensor to crank shaft sensor. this Jeep is use for
off road and will never driving on main roads any help or ideals will be tried,
all so need good wiring print for that model have print I got off internet not sure it the right year.

Coils can and do fail. Have you tested yours?

 

I had the same thing happen to a 76 Chevy 3/4 ton PU that I left sit out by my barn for over a year was a real mess. I ended up going to a JY and buying a new wiring harness for it and replaced the whole thing, they had chewed in places that I could not even see till I pulled it all out.


But do as Radi suggested first.
