Default Wiring

So I have a 95 xj sport and my cruise control doesn't work so I was trying to figure out why it's not working but I've found 2 wires on my search for vacuum lines that don't plug into anything. And ones down at the bottom of the battery coming out of a harness and the other wire come out by the washer fluid on the firewall harness. Can anybody tel me what there for?

If you mean wires with connectors on them that are not attached to other connectors, that seems normal. I have a few of those unused too. They belong to different option packages that the Jeep didn't get, so they are left dangling.

I wish I could help with the cruise control, but I don't have it so I don't know much about it. But if you search on Google: 1995 Jeep Cherokee Cruise Control issues, you will get plenty of threads to trouble shoot it.

I thought this XJ was for off road only, do you need the cruise for that?

Well after April it's coming off the road because that's when the plate is up.

The one by the washer bottle may be for the under-hood accessory light. Under the battery... might be the battery temp sensor. I don't know if that applies to your year, though.
