Default Wire Questions

So my head lights and fog lights didnt work, so I had them worked on. I took my XJ to a trusted friend, who is a certified mechanic. He fixed the lights, but now the wipers don't work (they were working perfectly before). Is there some type is relay or something where "signals" are getting lost?? Or where both the light and wiper signals meet?....I'm not very good at understanding wiring or electrical in cars. Any opinions?

More than likely its a bad multi switch or a bad wiper motor causing the wipers not to work. And boy, multi switches are expensive.
