Wipers Don't Work On High

So after trying to look this up, I saw that everyone had the opposite issue. The wipers only working in the highest setting and not intermittent.
I however have the issue where the intermittent setting and the next one up work, but the highest setting does not. Normally this isn't a big deal, but last night I was driving in a torrential downpour and it made seeing a bit difficult without that setting.
Any ideas what could cause this? The only thing I could think of is a connection in the wiper switch itself, because anything else should cause the rest of the functions to fail as well.
