Wiper Circuit breaker
Well I dont know if you guys are familiar with this circuit breaker, but its the one to the wipers
its on the very bottom of the fuse box on my 91 XJ
its the typical can with the 2 prongs.
the guy who owned it before me had just taped it down with masking tape so the other day I had trouble and the wipers wouldnt turn on so I noticed this backyard engineering.
well I slapped a fuse in there with a low amperage to keep it working but not endanger the wiper circuits.
So I called the nearest jeep dealer and its not available anymore, and none of the usual parts store even have a listing for this and cant cross reference the number
Can anybody help me out?
the part number is 5600 6336
and the guy said its a Wiper Relay

You could just make a new one using the circuit breaker pictured and a couple of spades on wires to plug into the receptacle.

its fried, I think the constant changing of resistance values took its toll on it, see I am assuming the guy who owned the jeep before me accidentally kicked it, and broke off the contacts, and then just taped it up in there, I soldered it back together and it didnt work anymore.
Any ideas though?

I guess I wasn't communicating very well. Take two crimp spade connectors, the male side. Crimp wires to them and insert them into the receptacle. Run the wires to an aftermarket circuit breaker anywhere.

I've yanked several of those from JY because I tend to kick mine when I start my jeep wearing snowboarding boots (I don't drive with them on!). It's too exposed and if bent back and forth a few times those tabs break easily. If you don't have access to a JY I'll mail you one today, feel free to PM me your address.

I got your PM, but don't worry about paying me for them. I'm a very frequent customer to a local pick-n-pull junkyard and they don't charge me for fuses, breakers, screws etc. anymore. I just dropped them off @ the PO; they should get to you by Wednesday or Thursday. They're rated at 4.8 & 5.5 amps, I've actually never seen a 10A in that socket on the XJ's I've explored. If you fry them let me know, I'd be interested. I've run the 4.8 in mine for over a year now with no problems.

did yours break at the connectors like mine?
you might try to solder it back, OR solder a wire lead to both connectors and use male butt connectors to plug them into where its supposed to go

Mine broke like that too. I soldered it back together and took the metal cover off to re-bend the breaker mechanism back to somewhat original operation. Or find one from the junkyard.

I know this is an old thread, however I was looking for info on this breaker and found this thread (the 200lb gorilla in the driver's seat kicked it and broke the tabs).
Rock Auto have these circuit breakers in the "Tools and Universal parts" category https://www.rockauto.com/en/tools/el...it+breaker,123
The have 5 amp breakers
Likely worth getting spade connectors and wire to relocate the breaker out of the way a little
