yeah, the duratracs get lotsa internet love all over the boards and no one tire is best for everything, define your need, then fill it...ive got hakka r's on my miata, 3yrs ago, they were the best choice, today i would get studded
Right on..
Those Hakka R's are pretty legit. Sooo much siping. And with studs, those would be one insanely aggressive winter tire...

I will be needing to drive in the Rockies a lot this winter. My jeeps tires are currently all weather P235 75R15.....

I drive like an old lady, but I'm looking for the best way to prep my cherokee for some insanely snowy conditions. I'm not looking to lift it or make it snazzy, just some suggestions for a good winter tire. I will also be driving on dry pavement as well so it needs to be versatile.

Rough pricing would also be appreciated. (Or other suggestions to winterize my jeep) Thanks!

Live in Security Colorado. Tend to avoid driving when lots of ice. Doesn't the fact XJ's have a short wheel base come into play? I've got BFG AT's, same size tire as cherokmysocks runs, and I often get squirrley on packed snow with ice underneath.
