X 2, you will want a winch that pulls 1 and a half times the weight of your vehicle MINIMUM. Which for an XJ weighing roughly 3500-3700 lbs. fully gassed and loaded with you and offroad equipment. That would mean an 8K winch. I also have the Smittybuilt XRC8000 on my 91 XJ. Nobody can touch the price and Mine has pulled my Jeep and my buddys' rigs out of everything imagineable. So far, I've busted one roller farelead and snapped one cable. The winch still pulls like a champ to this day. I've had it for almost 2 years.

 

I'm just telling you what luck i've had with mine, works perfect. Its alot cheaper than all the other winches that most of us can't spend money on so thats why i got it. Thanks, you got a nice jeep too
