windshield wiper woes

Default windshield wiper woes

I have an 88 cherokee that I cant seem to get power to the wiper plug. wiper motor is good, that 5.5 amp fuse relay thingy in the fuse pannel is good, tested it and... made sure i was getting power on both of the leggs
Any ideas anyone ??

wiper switch maybe?

not passing power through it?

afraid of that its 100 something bucks and a P.I.T.A. to get to may just get a whole steering colum out of the j.y. THANKS !

have you checked the wiper delay module for power coming thru it ?

is this on the wiper motor ? if so I'm not getting any power to the plug that plugs into the wiper motor

you can actuall un plug it and plug the factory ends together ,

What will this cause. Will it give me high and low only? I dont really care about delay. My wipers are messing up also.

Yeah it won't give you the delay. You can still turn it counter clockwise to get the single wipe, and you can still turn it to the non-delay settings which is basically medium and high.

I had to take my module out when my truck was stolen because the wiper switch fried the module from the wiring getting messed up. Unfortunately I bought a new one from the junk yard after I just put my new column in this weekend and it fried when I plugged it in, so I still have to figure out what it is. Hope that helps!
