ha ha! That is funny right there. Finally found an adapter I think might work. Finding how to get the 11/16 to mate up to the 5/8 hose has been an issue.

The 5/8" will fit the 11/16" fitting ends, both my 88 MJ and my 00 XJ have 5/8" on both lines nowadays.

ah..so I can just loop my 5/8 hose to the 11/16 t stat housing ?

It's a tight fit but doable ... If you want to eliminate the heat altogether, then yeah, loop it. A little dish soap, helps.

LMAO! Did the heater core bypass this afternoon. At first, I was gonna loop it with the lower 5/8 hose going to the upper 11/16 hose starting point at the water pump, but there was too much bend in the formed hose. Not a kink exactly, but it just looked like there was potential for restricted flow. So I bought a heater hose adapter at Autozone for $3. It's a 3/4 to 5/8 adapter. The 11/16 fit right up to the 3/4. Ran it up to op temp and not a drop spilled. Now I am set till spring, when I will replace the whole cooling system.
