the passenger side wiper quit working when i hit a mud hole and i can't get the wipers off to get the plate off so i can get to the motor. how can i get the wipers off?

 

On my 2000 xj I need to lift the wiper blade off the glass a couple inches then the wiper arms locks in that up position. The wiper arms are then unlocked from the shafts and can be removed (though they were alittle tough to get off the first time).

 

Ok I'll give it a try. It's a 93 and has a weird clip thing that I played with and that didn't seem to do much but I'll look at it closer. It could be corrosion. I'll soak it w/ some W-D
