Hey fellas,
In the very near future I'm going to be pulling my doors apart on my '87 Wagoneer and doing a weatherstripping refresh. While I'm at it I intend to install the relay trick to help with the rear window and lock power drop.
Another issue I have is that while the actuators "clunk" they don't have the power to move the locks. Additionally, the windows will go up and down, but sometimes it's ultra sluggish and/or one will get stuck. I'm not sure if the only solution is to replace these items or if I can do a good, solid strip, clean, and re-grease and get some more life out of the OEM pieces. I know there are several repair techniques for the 97+ regulators, but I haven't found anything (I did use the search!) for the older Renix-era beasts.
Thanks for any input or resources!
