So my 2000 XJ when driving seems to created this odd sound. Sounds like wind/air coming into the cab via the dash.

I feel nothing. No air around the window coming in. Nothing from the defrost vent and nothing from below the dash. The sound increases with speed. (almost sounds like there is a hole in the firewall - I did check and didnt see anything odd or open on it)

The ONLY time I feel any air is when the heater is on. Any suggestions or ideas on what to check?

It is hard to pin point where the air maybe coming in,I can say that overtime the seals do not work as well as new,mine had leaks on the door seal and window cannel,no water comes in but I do here the wind. I also have wing windows and that is where my biggest leak is at.
There is not much behing the dash that will cause this,I would look closer at your door seals.

I will do this, thanks for this information. It really sounds like its coming from the dash tho... (sounds as if the heater is blowing)

I will see if I can get a decent recording with my camera at high way speed and post a clip of it.

Yeah, wind coming from everywhere. Dynamat was my solution.
